Vorgeburtliches Leben - Ethische, medizinische und rechtliche Perspektiven auf pränatale Therapie und Diagnostik
Als großer Fortschritt in der Pränatalmedizin werden gegenwärtig vor allem Vorgeburtsuntersuchungen per Blutprobe (zum Beispiel auf Trisomie 21) angesehen, die aller Voraussicht nach auch auf andere Erkrankungen ausgeweitet werden. Auch die Möglichkeiten vorgeburtlicher Therapien nehmen – wenn auch in weitaus geringerem Maße und mit unsicheren Erfolgsaussichten – zu und nötigen wie diagnostische Einsichten zu schwerwiegenden Entscheidungen über den Abbruch oder die Fortsetzung von Schwangerschaften.

De patiënt overvraagd? Autonomie opnieuw doordacht
Tegenwoordig behandelen artsen en verpleegkundigen de patiënt als autonome burgers en kritische klanten. Patiënten krijgen informatie over diverse behandelmogelijkheden, denken mee over de therapie en geven toestemming voor ingrepen. Een goede zaak. Maar overvragen we de patiënt niet regelmatig: als deze angstig is, in de war, een belangenconflict heeft of de situatie niet kan overzien? Hoe kunnen we met respect voor autonomie recht doen aan de beleving en de ervaring van patiënten? Over die vraag gaat deze conferentie.

Slotconferentie ‘Zin in visie – Over bewegen en bevlogenheid in de jeugdzorg’
Op donderdag 13 juni 2013 van 16.00 – 20.30 organiseert Stichting Zin in Jeugdzorg haar vierde en laatste werkconferentie. Net als de voorgaande conferenties vindt ook deze plaats in Conferentiecentrum De Glindster in De Glind. De invalshoeken van de vorige conferenties betroffen de zinvragen in de dialoog tussen cliënten en werkers, werkers en cliënten en werkers en leidinggevenden/managers. Deze vierde keer zoomen we in op de zinvraag binnen onze jeugdzorgorganisaties. Wat vormt het DNA van onze organisaties?

Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics
The Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics programme originated in 2000 and is jointly organized by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy). The main objective of this programme is to train highly qualified students for research work or professional activities in the interdisciplinary field of bioethics, a field that is increasingly confronted with different moral questions and dilemmas. It approaches bioethics from an international perspective, with special attention to European philosophical traditions in this area. Voor alle verpleegkundigen en overige zorgprofessionals.
Het doel van palliatieve zorg is het bereiken van de best mogelijke kwaliteit van leven voor ongeneeslijk zieke patiënten en hun naasten. Verpleegkundigen hebben, behalve de naasten, in het palliatieve zorgproces vaak het meeste contact met de patiënt en hebben een grote invloed op de mate waarin de patiënt de laatste fase van zijn of haar leven beleeft. Ze hebben de taak om het lijden van de palliatieve patiënt te verlichten en, indien mogelijk, te voorkomen. Daarbij is goede communicatie en samenwerking met de patiënt, de naasten en andere zorgverleners van groot belang. -

Zorgverleners krijgen vaak niet de waardering die hun toekomt. Patiënten voelen zich niet gehoord. Maatschappelijk speelt de vraag of de gezondheidszorg wel zo’n goede zorg is. Pittige kwesties die om antwoord vragen.
