2019 Mark Sacks Lecture by Lucy O’Brien

The European Journal of Philosophy cordially invites everyone to the 2019 Mark Sacks Lecture. Lucy O’Brien will speak on 'Shameful Self-Consciousness’. Lucy O’Brien is professor of philosophy at University College, London. Prior to joining UCL she held a post-doctoral position at the Centre for Philosophical Studies at King's College London. Professor O’Brien was the Honorary Director of the Aristotelian Society in 2008-2014 and is currently co-editor of the journal MIND with A.W. Moore. She is the author of Self-Knowing Agents (OUP 2007) and co-editor, with Matthew Soteriou, of Mental Actions (OUP 2009).
